Sarah Barts grew up near Chicago, Illinois, and attended college at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee.  She received her Bachelor of Education in Instrumental and Vocal Music Education in May 2017.  Miss Barts is an alumna of two music honor societies- Sigma Alpha Iota and Tau Beta Sigma, and is a member of Texas Music Educators Association.  She marched in and was also the Undergraduate Assistant of the Vanderbilt University Spirit of Gold Marching Band.  

Miss Barts spent the 2017-2021 school years in Austin ISD at Gus Garcia Young Men's Leadership Academy in many roles:  teaching Orchestra, Choir, and Guitar, coaching soccer and Hype Squad, Yearbook, and Theatre Club.  In the fall of 2021, Miss Barts started at Bedichek Middle School as the Director of Bands and taught and coached soccer there through 2023.  Miss Barts is currently transitioning into adult education and learning experience design.
